Israel # 1

Lounge: Can't Get Wait To Start The Trip

Air Tahiti Nui is our "Go To" airline when going to Europe

LAX not busy: 50-60% wore masks. 85-90% were non-Caucasian

                                            Very smooth flight

New on board technology is always fun to use

Headphones now use a magnet to "plug in" to audio system

Four-course meal started with appetizer then segued on to salad plate, roast duck (entree) and several deserts. French wines and pastries were delish.

Paris-Tel Aviv flight took us over Alps - Gorgeous sight

Flight to Tel Aviv was a bit bumpy. The pilot apologized and said he "felt the plane would hold up in he turbulence and that there is no danger, yet." Was this his sense of humor or poor bedside manners?

Aerial view of Israel reinforces how desolate the country is as compared to other countries. Yet, the Israelis were able to turn a barren area into a productive entity.

                        New apartment complex almost finished

For so many years we donated money for trees to be planted in Israel. Here they are!

Air Tahiti Nui left on time - Relief - We had one hour to get through Paris passport control, retrieve luggage, go through Israeli inspection, go through French security (several heavily armed guards at El Al check-in) and run to the gate and try to make flight. We made it to Israel on time!
