Storm King Art Center

Gorgeous Fall Colors Are Appearing

Autumn Is Definitely Here: Mornings Are Brisk - High 30's to 40's

Crossing Over The Rip Van Wrinkle Bridge
Sleepy Hollow Is Near By

Storm King Art Center Is A Wide Open Area -
500 Acres Of Mixed Terrain.

The Outdoor Experience Is Unlike What We Might Feel When Visiting Inside A City Museum

The Art Objects Are Sculptures Of Mixed Sizes, Shapes, Etc.

They Are Scattered About The Area. We Used A Tram To Get Around The Park Because Of The Vastness Of The Park

Sometimes "Color" Comes Into Play
There Is Beauty Everywhere - Natural And...

Man Made

A Casual Stroll (With Few People Around) Is Relaxing, Not Stressful And Totally A Different Experience

A Walk Through The Woods Is Inviting.

Although Each Heavy Piece Is Solid, Still The Design Offers Opportunities To "Look Through" The Creation Which Provides A Feeling of "Lightness!"

Designed By Calder: There Is A "Grace" To This Design Even Though It Weighs "A Ton!"

Pick-up Sticks? Teepee? Or?

Robot? Man? Or?

Some Of These Pieces Are As Tall As Several Bus's Standing Lengthwise On Top of Each other

The Arms of This Piece Move Around Each Other

Unlike Most Of The Pieces Which Tend To Be "Dark" In Color, Using Red May Seem To Be Jarring For Some Visitors
Walking Around The Pieces Offer Different "Perspectives"
