Israel Blog # 3, cont.
Many "parking spots" are available for dogs. Israelis love their dogs (and cats). Cats seem to run wild. All dogs are on a leash and seem to behave. Very little barking. Most owners clean up after their dogs.
We buy necessities from local (hole in the wall) grocery store. Packed aisles are very narrow - barely three feet across. Only one person at a time can be in the area.
All fruit is fresh and locally grown. Wonderful scents permeate the area.
Jerry uses "selfie stick" for the first time. Sitting in front of a Henry Moore sculpture. Tel Aviv Museum of Art behind us. Inside facility, design is much like a Frank Gehry (Bilboa, Spain) building. Current modern art exhibit - based on Israeli artists, was dark. However, we were lucky to see a Kusama exhibit and some Rembrandt, Van Dyck, etc. paintings.
Still alive - Modernist artist
Kusama Pumpkin
Fun Kusama exhibit. Material same as what is used for a rubber raft or dingy
Children (and adults) love to run through the maze - playing "hide and seek."
More Kusama: Ball garden
Intricate black and white designs
A lot of work went into these pieces.
Maybe my sister (Lisa) can adapt these designs for her own projects
