Jerry discovered an oasis inside a building complex
We discovered a place that made homemade empanadas and
other fabulous items. Everything looked delicious. Unfortunately, we did not
have any local currency. Oh well. Maybe next time.

Pub takes over part of a $10 million dollar home
Colonial style building. We were told that approximately 10% of the children graduate from high school. Also, people have to pay $3500 if they want to join the military. Why? There is a high demand to join because of a good pension program after twenty years. The fee weeds out a lot of people.
Old church destroyed, re-built in the 1600-1700’s era
The “Inquisition” was not just in Spain. It took place in Colombia – in the 1600’s. Besides the Jews, African slaves and indigenous people were also targeted. Some of the priests went out of their way to convert these people to Christianity as a means to keep the three groups from getting tortured or killed.
